The Workshop
I'm rebuilding my workshop since moving to Georgia. My 3 kilns pictured just after my son fancied up the electrical! It's coming together with shelving for storing glass, worktables, and lots of space to be creative.
The History
Born in Tennessee, I grew up in the midwest and California, I graduated from UC Berkeley majoring in Design and Applied Arts. She raised a family in Southern Oregon, coached soccer, and owned an income tax and bookkeeping practice.
After a trip to Tucson, Arizona in 2000 for the World's largest mineral and gem show, she returned to her true love.
I started Beadfantastica in 1999 selling hand carved beads on eBay. Years later, I purchased a home in Green Valley and immediately joined the GVR Lapidary & Silversmith Club. I took every class offered, served as Club President and taught classes in Precious Metal Clay/PMC, WireWrapping, and Dichroic Glass.
The Inspiration
I find inspiration in natural settings, bird watching, and from the people around me. Having lived many many places, I'm passionate about meeting new people and staying connected to friends and family all over the country. I moved to Georgia to be closer to my daughter and her husband and my wonderful spirited granddaughters.
